Absolutely! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video might be even better! This short video explains how The Real Smart Home collaborates with electricians like yourself to help people get the smart home of their dreams:
The short answer is no, we don´t require any specific training for most projects.
Let’s break it down further. We cover a wide range of smart home device brands, so you don’t have to be an expert on each. Most devices we recommend to our customers, like smart switches and wireless sensors, are straightforward installations for qualified electricians like yourself.
In cases where a customer requests a device requiring specialised knowledge, we will know that at the beginning of the project, and we’ll find a qualified electrician with that expertise to handle the installation.
The key takeaway is that you simply install the devices and ensure they function with the manufacturer’s app. We’ll then integrate them into our platform, making them accessible on the customer’s floor plan, and provide support for any potential issue.
You will always provide a quote for each project according to your rate.
At the beginning of every project, after understanding what the customer needs in terms of the number and type of devices to be installed, you will provide a quote, we will do the same for our services, and we will either combine both quotes into one or share both quotes with the customer (more info about quotes and invoices in this question).
Once we have agreed on the details with the customer and confirmed availability with both you and our team, we will start the project.
The quoting process depends on the project. Before we begin, we’ll discuss your preference:
- Combined Quote: We can work together to create a single quote that includes both our service and your installation fees. This simplifies things for the customer.
- Separate Quotes: We can each provide the customer with our own separate quotes. This might be preferred if your pricing structure is complex.
Whichever option you choose, we’ll handle generating the invoice(s) after the project is complete, following the same approach we agreed on for the quote.
Overall, we’re flexible! We’ll discuss your preferences upfront to ensure a smooth quoting and invoicing process.
We understand you’d like to provide your customers with the latest smart home technology! Here at The Real Smart Home, we partner with qualified electricians like yourself to install these systems. The total cost for your customers depends on the specific devices and features they choose, but we offer transparent pricing so everyone is on the same page.
Here’s what we can offer you to streamline the process:
- We provide all the necessary smart home devices and pre-programme them for a smooth installation, or your customers can choose to purchase their own devices.
- Dedicated support from our team to answer any technical questions during the project.
For a more specific cost estimate, we recommend getting in touch with us directly and discussing the project details. In the meantime, you can also check out this post from our Facebook page with some example prices.
Once you’ve completed the installation and verified everything works as expected, we take over. Our team can troubleshoot most issues remotely, minimising any inconvenience for the customer. In the rare case that an issue requires a follow-up visit, we’ll contact you to check your availability and discuss any associated costs upfront.
