The short answer is no, you don’t need specific training for most projects.

Here’s why: We work with many different smart home device brands, so you don’t need to be an expert on all of them. Most devices we recommend, like smart switches and wireless sensors, are easy to install for qualified electricians like you. If a customer requests a device that needs special knowledge, we’ll let you know at the start and find an expert electrician to handle it.

The main point is: you install the devices and make sure they work with the manufacturer’s app. We’ll then integrate them into our platform, so they show up on the customer’s floor plan, and we’ll provide support if anything goes wrong.

You will always provide a quote for each project according to your rate.

At the start, after understanding what the customer needs, you’ll provide your quote. We’ll give our quote for services, and then either combine both quotes or share them separately with the customer. See more about quotes and invoices in this question.

Once we have agreed on the details with the customer and confirmed availability with both you and our team, we will start the project.

The quoting process depends on the project. Before we begin, we’ll discuss your preference:

• Combined Quote: We can work together to create a single quote that includes both our service and your installation fees. This simplifies things for the customer.
• Separate Quotes: We can each provide the customer with our own separate quotes. This might be preferred if your pricing structure is complex.

Whichever option you choose, we’ll handle generating the invoice(s) after the project is complete, following the same approach we agreed on for the quote.

Overall, we’re flexible! We’ll discuss your preferences upfront to ensure a smooth quoting and invoicing process.
